WARNING
When the vehicle is not in use, always lock the
doors and tailgate to reduce the risk of serious
or fatal injury.
● Never leave children unattended, especially
when the tailgate is open. Children can get
into the luggage compartment and close
the rear lid. In such a situation, a child
would not be able to get out of the luggage
compartment on its own. This can cause
serious or fatal injuries.
● Never allow children to play in or near the
vehicle.
● Never carry people in the luggage
compartment.
WARNING
Loose or incorrectly attached objects can
cause serious injuries in the event of sudden
steering and braking manoeuvres or in the
event of an accident. This applies in particular
in cases where the airbag impacts objects that
are thrown out of the vehicle interior when the
airbag is deployed. To reduce the risk of
injury, observe the following:
● Securely stow all objects in the vehicle.
Always place luggage and heavy objects in
the luggage compartment.
● Always secure objects with lashing straps or
tensioning straps so that objects are not
thrown around inside the vehicle and
cannot reach the expansion area of the
front airbags during sudden steering and
braking manoeuvres.
● Always keep the slides closed when driving.
● Do not place hard, heavy or sharp-
surfaced objects in open slides inside the
vehicle, on the parcel shelf or on the
instrument panel unless they are properly
secured.
● Remove rigid, heavy or sharp objects from
items of clothing and bags inside the vehicle
and arrange them safely.
