Front airbags

The front airbag system, together with the seat
belts, provides additional protection for the
head and thorax area of the driver and front
passenger in frontal collisions in more serious
accidents. Always maintain the greatest
possible distance from the front airbag, at least
25
p. 32. In this way, the front airbags can

inflate fully in the event of activation and thus
provide maximum protection.

ever be placed or attached in these areas

airbags inflate, the airbag covers fold out of the
steering wheel.

DANGER
An activated airbag inflates in a fraction of a
second and at a very high speed.
● Always leave the airbag deployment areas
clear of the front airbags.
● Never attach objects to the covers, e.g.
drink holders, mobile phone holders, GPS,
etc., in the area of the airbag modules.
● Persons, animals or objects must not be
allowed to come between the occupants of
the front seats and the airbag deployment
area.
● Do
not
attach
objects,
navigation devices, to the windscreen above
the front passenger frontal airbag.
● Do not glue, coat, alter or place any
material on the surface of the centre of the
steering wheel (steering wheel actuator)
and the surface of the front passenger
frontal airbag module on the instrument
panel.
WARNING
The front airbags inflate in front of the
steering wheel

● Always hold the steering wheel with both
hands on the outside edge while driving:
equivalent position at 9 o'clock and 3
o'clock.
● Adjust the driver's seat so that there is a
minimum distance of 25 cm between the
thorax and the centre of the steering
wheel. If this requirement cannot be met
due to physical constitution,
