Driver assistance system
speed regulator system
(GRA)
Introduction to the topic
The cruise control system (GRA) helps the
driver to maintain a constant set speed.
Depending on the vehicle version, the cruise
control system (GRA) may not be available.
Speed range
The GRA is available for driving to forward at
about 20 km/h.
Gear change
Once the clutch pedal is depressed,
gearchanging will be interrupted and, after the
gear change, will continue automatically.
Downhill driving
When driving downhill, the maximum speed may
be exceeded due to the pen- dient.
Brake the vehicle with the brake and if necessary
engage a lower gear.
How do I control the GRA?
You can control the GRA via the multi-function
steering wheel
p. 130.
WARNING
If it is not possible to drive safely, at a
sufficient distance and at a consistent speed,
the use of the speed control system can lead to
accidents and serious injuries.
● Never use the GRA in heavy traffic, for
very short distances, on steep or winding
roads, on slippery roads, e.g. in snow, ice,
wet or gravel, or on flooded roads.

Instruction manual
● Never use the GRA on loose ground or
unpaved roads.
● Adapt speed and sufficient distance to
vehicles ahead, weather, road and traffic
conditions.
● To avoid unwanted speed regulation,
always switch off the GRA after use.
● It is dangerous to use a pre-programmed
speed when it is excessive for current road,
traffic or atmospheric conditions.
● When driving on slopes, the GRA cannot
maintain a constant vehicle speed. The
vehicle's own weight increases the speed.
Downshift one gear or brake the vehicle
with the brake.
