If the braking was prolonged for a longer time,
while maintaining the same deceleration, the
warning lights come on automatically and will
flash when the vehicle reaches a speed of less
than approximately 10 km/h. When the vehicle
restarts moving, the warning lamps go out of
their own accord.
The warning lights can also be switched off by
pressing the switch on the dashboard
WARNING
A vehicle stopped without proper signalling
represents a major accident risk to itself and to
third parties in traffic.
● Stop the vehicle as soon as possible in a
safe place.
● Park the vehicle at a safe distance from the
flow of traffic to safely lock all doors in the
event of an emergency.
● Switch on the warning lights and use the
safety triangle to alert other drivers.
● Never leave children, handicapped persons
or persons with special needs alone in the
vehicle when the doors are locked. This may
cause them to be locked inside the vehicle
in an emergency. Locked-in persons may be
exposed to very high or very low
temperatures.
WARNING
Observing the checklist is essential for the
safety of the driver, passengers and other
drivers to avoid possible accidents.
● Always follow the actions in the checklist
and observe the safety precautions
described therein.
WARNING
Parts of the exhaust system become very hot.
This can lead to fires and serious injuries.
● Never park the vehicle in such a way that
parts of the exhaust system come into
contact with easily ignitable materials
underneath the vehicle, e.g. dry grass or
fuel.
