Guidelines for vehicle maintenance
Frequent and skilled maintenance contributes to
maintaining the value of the vehicle. Proper
maintenance can be one of the conditions for the
recognition of warranty claims against corrosion
damage and paintwork problems on the
bodywork.
Suitable care products can be obtained from a
Volkswagen Dealer.
WARNING
Preservatives can be toxic and dangerous.
Unsuitable preservation products and their
improper use can cause accidents, as well as
serious injuries, burns and poisoning.
● Keep preservation products only in closed
original containers.
● Observe the information on the packaging.
● Never use empty food cans, jars or other
containers for the storage of preservation
products, as their contents may not always
be recognisable by people as the
preservation product.
● Keep all preservation products out of the
reach of children.
● Non-hazardous vapours may be released
during use. Therefore, only use the products
in the open air or in well-ventilated rooms.
● Never use fuel, turpentine, engine oil, nail
polish remover or other highly volatile
liquids for maintenance, washing or
cleaning of the vehicle. These are toxic and
highly flammable.
WARNING
Improper maintenance and cleaning of
vehicle parts can restrict the vehicle's safety
equipment and thus cause serious injuries.
● Clean and store vehicle parts only in
accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
● Use the released or recommended cleaning
products.
