WARNING
Engine oil could ignite if it comes into contact
with hot engine parts. This can cause fires,
burns and other serious injuries.
● If engine oil is poured on cold engine parts,
the oil may heat up when the engine is
running and cause a fire.
● After refuelling, always ensure that the oil
filler cap is properly closed and that the oil
dipstick is also correctly inserted into the
guide tube. In this way, spillage of engine
oil onto hot engine parts during operation
can be prevented.
NOTICE
● Do not start the engine if the engine oil level
is above the level

company. Otherwise, the catalytic converter
and engine may be damaged!
● When changing or replenishing fluids, ensure
that the fluids are in the correct containers.
Incorrect fluids can cause serious
malfunctions and engine damage!
NOTICE
Use only cloths that do not fray and do not shed
threads to clean the dipstick, as such residues
can cause engine damage.

oil level exceed the area

crankcase ventilation and release it into the
atmosphere. In addition, the oil can burn inside
the catalytic converter, damaging it.
Leaking or spilled engine oil can pollute the

recommends that the engine oil should
preferably be changed at a Volkswagen Dealer,
which has
special tools and the necessary technical
competence, and is able to solve the discarding
of used oil.

Lights up: Mo- tor oil pressure too low. Do
not continue! Switch off
the engine. Check the engine oil level, if
necessary, top up with engine oil
If the warning light remains on and the oil
level is correct, do not continue to drive or
keep the engine running. This can result in
engine damage. Immediately contact a
Volkswagen Dealer or a specialist
company.
