Set Traffic Accident Detection
The device detects traffic accidents in the detection area and captures pictures.
Before You Start
Set detection scenes and detection areas. See Set Detection Scene and Set Polygon Area for
details.
Steps
1. Go to VCA → Intell Traffic Event → Common Settings → Speed Dome Rule Settings .
2. Select Traffic Event Detection.
3. Click Traffic Accident Detection and check Enable.
4. Select Arm Polygon.
Traffic accident detection takes effect in the selected areas.
5. Set Sensitivity.
With higher sensitivity, the device is more sensitive to detect and recognize targets.
6. Set Duration.
When the traffic accident in the detection area lasts longer than the duration, an alarm is
triggered.
7. Set Filtering Time.
Within the set filtering time, the traffic accidents in the same detection area will not trigger the
alarm repeatedly.
8. Click Save.

The device detects vehicles in the detection area, recognizes license plates, captures and saves
pictures, and uploads alarms.
