Installing the measuring sensors Prosonic Flow W
(single path Insertion version)
1.
Determine the installation area (e) on the pipe section:
– Installation location: Page 14
– Inlet/outlet run: Page 16
– Space required by the measuring point: approx. 1 x pipe diameter.
2.
Mark the middle line on the pipe at the mounting location and mark the position of
the first drillhole (drillhole diameter: 65 mm).
!
Note!
Make the middle line longer than the drillhole!

3.
Drill the first hole, e.g. with a plasma cutter. If the wall thickness of the pipe is
unknown, measure it at this point.
4.
Use the "Sensor installation" Quick Setup to determine the sensor distance
(distance between the two drillholes). Run the Quick Setup as explained on
Page 82. The sensor distance is displayed in the "Sensor distance" function (6886).
!
Note!
– To run the "Sensor Installation" Quick Setup, the transmitter must have a local
display and be installed and connected to the power supply.
– In the case of transmitters without a local display, the value can be determined as
explained on Page 86 ff.
