ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM
CAUTION SYSTEM
Overheat Caution
CONDITION 1 (Maximum temperature)
lmmediate activation of system when:
• Cylinder temperatura reaches 121 ºC.
• Exhaust manifold temperatura reaches 114ºC.

lmmediate activation of system when:
• The average temperature difference during three consecutive 1 O second measurement periods of the
cylinder temperatura sensor at engine speeds of 500 rpm or higher exceeds the limits as shown
below.

• The average temperatura difference during three consecutiva 1 O second measurement periods of the
exhaust manifold temperatura sensor at engine speeds of 500 rpm or higher exceeds the limits as
shown below.

ACTION:
Engine speed
Automatically reduced to approx. 3000 rpm by intermittent fuel injection and ignition
signal if the system is activated at 3000 rpm or higher.
Caution lamp
''TEMP" lamp lights continuously.
Caution buzzer Sounds for ten seconds.
RESET:
Glose throttle to reduce engine speed below approx. 3000 rpm. When cylinder temperature drops below
the limits as shown below, the system resets. However, the system may be activated again unless the
cause for overheat (such as insufficient water) is removed.
