POWER UNIT
CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY

Removal
Prior to removing cylinder head:
• Remove power unit. (See page 6-5 to 6-8)
• Remove timing chain. (See page 6-17 to 6-18)
1. Remove bolts

2. Remove oíl relief valve @ and gasket @.
3. Remove bolts securing camshaft housing @ to cylinder
head, then remove each camshaft housing.
NOTE:
For ease of assembly, note position of each individual cam­
shaft housing.
4. Remove intake and exhaust camshafts.
5. Loosen eighteen (18) cylinder head bolts according to
numerical order in figure and remove them.
6. Remove cylinder head assembly and head gasket.
NOTE:
Use special too/ (10 mm deep socket wrench) when loosen­
ing cylinder head bolts.
