Battery
¡
1nspect every 50 hours (3 months).
~~WARNING
• Never expose battery to open flame or electric spark
as batteries generate gas, which is flammable and
explosive.
• Battery acid is poisonous and corrosive. Avoid con­
tact with eyes, skin, clothing, and painted surfaces. lf
battery acid comes in contact with any of these, flush
immediately with large amounts of water. lf acid con­
tacts the eyes or skin, get immediate medical atten­
tion.
• Batteries should always be kept out of reach of chil­
dren.
• When checking or servicing the battery, disconnect
the negatlve (black) cable. Be careful not to cause a
short circuit by allowing metal objects to contact the
battery posts and the motor at the same time.
• Wear approved eye protection.
Recommended battery:
12 V 500 CCA (620 MCA) with 90 minute reserve
capacity.
CONNECTING
BATTERY
Upon completion of connection, lightly apply grease to bat­
tery terminals.
How to connect:
1 . Connect positiva (+) terminal first.
2. Connect negativa (-) terminal second.
How to disconnect:
1. Disconnect negativa (-) terminal first.
2. Disconnect positiva(+) terminal second.

1
lf the battery leads are incorrectly connected, the electri­
cal system could be damaged.
