PROCEDURES
This section describes servicing procedures for each peri­
odie maintenance requirement.
Engine Oil / Engine Oil Filter
ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK
[ lnspect oil level before every use.
1. Place outboard motor upright on a level surface.
2. Remove motor cover.
3. Remove oil level dipstick and wipe it clean.
4. lnsert it fully into dipstick hole, then remove it to check
oil level.
5. Oil level should be between full level hole
(Max.)
and low
level hole (Min.).
lf level is low, add recommended oil to full level hole
(Max.).
Recommended oíl:
• Evinrude/Johnson Ultra Four Stroke motor oll
or
• API classification SE, SF, SG, SH, SJ.
Viscosity rating SAE 1 O W-40.
Break-In (First 1 O Hours):
• Evinrude/Johnson Four Stroke motor oll
or
• API classification
Vlscoslty ratlng
SE, SF, SG, SH, SJ.
SAE 10W-40.
