Cause
MEDIBUS communication
failed.
Alarm signals are being test-
ed.
Microfilter is extremely
soiled.
Microfilter missing or incor-
rectly inserted.
The minute volume exceeds
the upper alarm limit.
Water in flow sensor.
The minute volume has fall-
en below the lower alarm
limit.
Obstruction
Leakage or disconnection.
Device failure
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Ventilation functions are not
affected. Check MEDIBUS
connection. Check MEDIB-
US settings.
Complete or cancel device
check.
Replace microfilter.
Insert microfilter.
Check patient condition.
Check ventilation settings.
Adjust alarm limit if neces-
sary.
Drain water trap of breathing
circuit. Dry flow sensor.
Check patient condition.
Check ventilation settings.
Adjust alarm limit if neces-
sary.
Check patient condition.
Check breathing circuit.
Check tube or mask.
Check breathing circuit for
tight connections.
Make sure that the
expiratory valve is properly
engaged.
Make sure that the tube or
