6. In sequence, torque the coupler bracket fasteners to
specification.
TORQUE
Engine / Transmission Mounting Bolts (In Sequence):
Step 1-2 Pre-Torque 5 ft-lbs (7 Nm)
Step 1-2 45 ft-lbs (61 Nm)
Step 3-6 Pre-Torque 5 ft-lbs (7 Nm)
Step 7-10 45 ft-lbs (61 Nm)
7. Remove the thin block of wood under the engine
assembly if you placed on there for engine removal.
8. Install the positive and negative cables going to the
starter. Torque fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Starter Cable Fasteners
30 in-lb (4 Nm)
9. Install the seven bolts retaining the inner clutch cover.
Torque bolts to specification.
TORQUE
Inner Clutch Cover Fasteners
10 ft-lb (14 Nm)
10. Install the drive clutch on the vehicle. Torque
mounting bolt to specification.
TORQUE
Drive Clutch Bolt
96 ft-lb (130 Nm)
11. Install the driven clutch and the belt. Torque bolt to
specification.
TORQUE
Driven Clutch Bolt
55 ft-lb (75 Nm)

ENGINE / COOLING SYSTEM
12. Install the PVT outer cover screws. Torque screws to
specification.
TORQUE
Inner Clutch Cover Fasteners
54 in-lb (5 Nm)
13. Install the four fasteners retaining the intake manifold
to the engine and the one to retain the bottom of the
intake manifold to the transmission bracket.
TORQUE
Intake Manifold Mounting Fasteners:
To Engine: 17 ft-lb (23 Nm)
Lower: 22 ft-lb (30 Nm)
14. Install the two fuel rail mounting fasteners. Torque
fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Fuel Rail Mounting Fasteners
5 ft-lb (7 Nm)
15. Reconnect and properly route the following electrical
components:
