The AND Link Operator

Field 1 is always empty in the first statement of any Custom Control equation.
In subsequent statements, Field 1 will contain one of the two Link operators:
•
AND – which links the statement in "Series" with all previous statements
•
OR – which links the statement in "Parallel" with all previous statements
The AND Link operator links the current statement in Series with all previous
statements in an equation (see Figure 3-6).

In Figure 3-6, IF the condition of 03-01 is Fire AND the condition of 03-02 is
Fire, then the INPUT SIDE is true. Another way to look at this equation is
shown in Figure 3-7. In order to cross from the INPUT SIDE of the equation to
the OUTPUT SIDE, both of the statements must be true.
