Eliminating coin jam-up
In case of hard coin jams the CLS sends an error message and shuts down. Coins can either jam
in the acceptance unit on the sorting spiral or in a coin hopper.
8.5.1
Eliminating coin jam in acceptance unit
To eliminate all coins jammed in the acceptance unit and ensure that the hopper coins correspond
to the coin counters we recommend you proceed as follows:

Switch off the device using the on-off switch on the rear side

Open the lid and the upper acceptance unit

Remove all (red) coins [Fig. 47] that have not passed the coin rejector pin [Fig. 47/1]
yet and all rejected coins.

Collect all (green) coins [Fig. 47] that already passed the coin rejector
pin for later deposit in the hoppers.

Close lid again
(cf. Chap. "7.2 Opening and closing the CLS lid", p. 26)
the payout unit
(cf. Chap. "7.4 Opening and closing the coin payout unit", p. 29).

Make sure that the coin jam did not cause a missorting and the coins are in
the correct hoppers. If not, put coins misrouted into their correct hoppers.

Put all collected coins passed the rejector pin into the appropriate hoppers.

Close payout unit again
