5.7.6 THE ELECTROSTATIC EFFECT

The in-system electrically loaded paint particles atomized by the spray gun are transported
to the grounded object by kinetic and electrostatic energy where they adhere, finely
distributed on the object being sprayed.
Object to be sprayed is conductive
and grounded
Advantages
– Very efficient spraying
– Low over spray
– Coating of entire circumferences due to the electrostatic effect
– Savings in working time
