5.6.3   The Electrostatic Effect
The spray gun produces an electrostatic field by means of the high-voltage electrode. As a
result, the paint particles atomized by the spray gun are carried to the grounded work piece
by kinetic and electrostatic energy, where they adhere finely dispersed to the object to be
sprayed.
