Attention!
All aids – supports and orthoses – applied too tightly to the surface of the body may result
in local pressure spots or, in some cases, even restrict the adjacent vessels or nerves.
7 Contraindications
In patients with history of deep venous thrombosis in lower limb, the consultation with the treating
physician is required. As the calf muscle pump is not functioning due to the use of the orthosis, a
medicamentous thrombosis prophylaxis may be required.
Attention!
In case of the following clinical pictures, the application and use of this type of aid is
indicated only after consultation with the physician.
1. Skin diseases/injuries in body regions with fittings, especially in case of inflammatory
symptoms. This also applies to prominent scars that are swollen, reddened and feel
excessively warm when touched.
2. Lymphatic flow disorders – as well as indistinct soft-tissue swellings not in contact
with the applied aid.
3. Sensory disorders - lower leg/foot
8 Instructions for use and care
The orthosis must be used in strict conformity with the indication. The patient's acceptance and
cooperation play an important part. It is essential to instruct the patient in the proper use of the
orthosis! The physician's instructions must be strictly observed.
The daily duration of use and total period of application must be determined by the attending
physician.
Patients should be instructed to consult a physician immediately if they experience unusual chang-

Attention!
The orthosis is not flame-resistant. Patients should be instructed to keep the product
away from flames or other heat sources.
Before each use, the orthosis must be checked for functional reliability and for possible wear or
damage. If a hook and loop closure or any other part of the orthosis show any signs of wear, the
orthosis should no longer be used.
Attention!
The patient should be instructed not to wear the orthosis during nuclear spin tomography
examination.
The product should not come into contact with grease or acidic agents, unguents and lotions.
Improper changes to the product are not permitted.
You can remove the pad and Velcro straps and wash the orthosis by hand at 30°C using a
standard mild detergent. We recommend closing the hook & loop closures before washing to
prevent any damage to them. To avoid skin irritations, rinse the orthosis thoroughly so that all soap
