Important
If either the transducer or the charge amplifier is replaced, the measuring chain
calibration is invalid. Incorrect measured values could be displayed and/or
forwarded to downstream evaluating electronics.

TEDS transducer identification

TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) allows you to store the transducer
data (characteristic values) as per IEEE1451.4 in a special chip in the CMA
(TEDS module, 1‐wire EEPROM). Suitably equipped evaluating electronics can
read the data from this electronic data sheet or calibration certificate and set
themselves accordingly.
The TEDS signal is available at plug connection pin 4, to ground at pin 6 (see
Fig. 7.1 on Page 17).
When you switch from Range 1 to Range 2 or vice versa, the valid TEDS
information is automatically made available, but the downstream evaluating
electronics must read the TEDS once again.
Important
The data stored in TEDS are only valid for the adjusted (sensor and CMA)
measuring chain (see Chapter 6.3). As soon as you replace one of the
components, you must re‐calculate the data and change them in the TEDS
module.

Hierarchy of rights for TEDS

The TEDS Editor uses a hierarchy of rights:
1. Standard rights (USR level)
This level concerns entries that can be modified by any user and which are
changed subject to their application, for example: Measuring point name,
zero value, filters, etc.
2. Calibration rights (CAL level)
