Tips regarding piezoelectric measurement technology
The cable connectors cannot be cleaned, i.e. if the cable is contaminated, it
must be replaced.
Notice
The cleaning agent RMS1, which is used for cleaning SG installation points, is
not suitable for cleaning piezoelectric sensor connections.

Thermal influences

Influence of sensor temperature on the characteristic curve
The influence of temperature on the sensitivity of the sensors is very low with
0.2% per 10K and is negligible for most applications.
Temperature influences on signal stability
All piezoelectric sensors change their charge state when the temperature
changes as the pre‐stress changes (the E modulus of construction elements
depends on the temperature). In addition, temperature fluctuations during
measurement lead to thermally induced stresses that generate an output
signal.
Information
The output signal only changes in the case of a change in temperature, a
charge is not generated under stationary conditions.
The temperature effects can be minimized if it is ensured that:
1. The transducer is stored for sufficient time at the application temperature
2. The transducer is not touched shortly before measurement as hand heat
can warm up the sensors unevenly
3. A reset is implemented after every measurement cycle
