TEDS transducer identification

A TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) chip allows you to store the rated
outputs of a sensor in a chip in accordance with IEEE 1451.4. The C9C can be
supplied with TEDS, which is then mounted in the connector housing,
connected and supplied with data by HBM before delivery. If the force trans
ducer is ordered with a manufacturing certificate, the characteristic values from
the manufacturing certificate are stored in the TEDS chip; if an additional
DAkkS (national accreditation body for the Federal Republic of Germany)
calibration is ordered, the calibration results are also stored in the TEDS chip.
The TEDS chip is executed in a zerowire configuration for all connector
variants. The connector wiring is then such that the force transducer can be
connected to the HBM amplifier with a zero-wire configuration. Please note that
for TEDS to function correctly, all extensions must be executed in a 6-wire
configuration.
If a suitable amplifier is connected (e.g. QuantumX from HBM), then the
amplifier electronics will read the TEDS chip and parameterization will follow
automatically, without any intervention required by the user.
The chip content can be edited and changed with appropriate hardware and
software. This can be achieved with HBM's Quantum Assistant or DAQ CAT
MAN software, for instance. Please pay attention to the operating manuals of
these products.
