Disassembling the seal ring retainer

Main work
-
Clamp the piston rod with the fork in a vise.
I Guideline
Use soft jaws.

Remove nut
-
Remove washer
-
Remove rebound shim stack

Place the rebound shim stack onto a screwdriver and set it down as a unit.

Remove piston
-
Remove compression shim stack
• Info

Place the compression shim stack onto a screwdriver and set it down as a
unit.

Remove rebound washer
-
Remove seal ring retainer@.
-
Remove locking cap@) and rubber buffer@).
Preparatory work
