Problem
You cannot install the
operating system.
You cannot boot an
installed operating
system.
Setup and Installation Guide
Once your Blade PC has passed POST, you may still encounter errors,
such as an inability to load your operating system. Use Table D-14 to
troubleshoot Blade PC installation problems that occur after the
initial boot.
Possible Cause
You cannot access the network.
You cannot access the PXE
desktop.
The IPL boot order is incorrect.
The hard drive has failed.
The operating system image has
corrupted.
You can access information on service and support upgrades by

Possible Solution
Be sure that the NIC link LED on the
front of the Blade PC is green or
blinking green. If not, check the
network connections on the rear of
the system.
Be sure that you are connected to the
network through NIC 1(PXE enabled
by default), and that the link LED is
green or blinking green.
Go into Computer Setup and change
the IPL device boot order.
Look for error messages to determine
if a hard drive has failed.
Contact HP or your authorized service
provider for replacement parts and
service.
Look for error messages to determine
if the operating system image has
corrupted.
Re-install the operating system.
