Malfunction
Vacuum generator functioning,
but the load is not picked up.

Cause
The suction plate is not complete-
ly covered by the load. Air is leak-
ing in.
Dust filter is dirty.
Dust filter is not closed.
Hose or screw unions are leaking.
Valves are dirty.
One or more pumps has failed.
Sealing lip on suction plate is
damaged.
Load has cracks, gaps or is porous.
Gauge is faulty.
Hose or screw unions are leaking.
Vacuum switch is obstructed or
faulty.
Location of use is higher than
1600 m above sea level.
Load has cracks, gaps or is porous.

Solution
 Position the lifting device on
the load so that the suction
plate is completely covered
by the load.
 Clean or replace the filter car-
tridge of the dust filter.
 Close the dust filter cover.
 Replace or seal components.
 Have valves cleaned by Probst
service.
1. Decommission the lifting de-
vice.
2. Contact Probst service.
 Replace suction plate.
The load cannot be handled with
this lifting device.
 Replace the gauge.
 Seal or replace components.
 Contact Probst service.
 Observe the maximum alti-
tude for location of use.
