5.3 Access in emergency situations (emergency mode)

5.3.1 Activating emergency mode
Emergency mode is similar to release mode: the locking device remains constantly coupled so that the door
can be opened at any time without having to use a locking medium.
Unlike release mode, however, emergency mode cannot be cancelled again by the Release-Master but only
by the Emergency-Key and has the highest priority of all the opening modes, see
modes"
on page 38.
Required:
Emergency-Key (must be authorised for the locking device beforehand)

Procedure:
Steps
1. Hold the Emergency-Key in the reading field of the locking device for approx. 1 second.
The Emergency-Key is read and accepted.
2. Remove the Emergency-Key from the reading field of the locking device.
The locking device is now in emergency mode. Access is now permanently possible without
the locking media since the locking device remains permanently uncoupled. Emergency
mode can only be deactivated again by an Emergency-Key.
