Preparation for assembly
Check the conditions on the door. If no profile cylinder is yet present, we recommend that you fit
this after mounting the ILS-I internal door handle set. If retrofitting, note the protrusion of at least
22.5 mm and max. 25.5 mm from the door leaf.
Wide shield replacement handle set ILS-I
1. Secure the open door with a wedge against inadvertent
closure.
2. Remove the existing handle sets on the inner and outer sides
of the door.
3. Check which screws were used for mounting and select the
appropriate bolts and countersunk head screws for the
assembly (M4 or M5).
Use the washers supplied if the original door handle set
is not suitable for countersunk head screws.
4. Before fitting, check whether the locking cylinder has the
correct length for the door lock. To do this, measure the
required protrusion A of the locking cylinder from the door
leaf (A = min. 22.5 mm).
If no profile cylinder is present, we recommend that this
is fitted after the assembly of the ILS-I internal door
handle set.
You can now start the assembly.
