6.3 Administration using master media

6.3.1 About master media
Master media are cards that enable you to implement settings on your OMEGA
FLEX system.
You can use master media as a type of administration. No software is used for this process; you simply
control authorisations and settings via the master media. More complex functions, however, such as the use
of time profiles, require the use of the CEStronic Suite software.
There are also master media that are required for other types of administration, e.g. to enable
communication between a locking device and an RF-Stick.
6.3.2 Principle of administration with master media
The basic procedure for administration with master media:
1. Authorise the System-Master of your OMEGA FLEX system on a new locking device (see
System-Master"
on page 61).
2. Authorise one of the other master media using the System-Master (see
ter media"
on page 57).
3. Implement the required settings using the authorised master medium, e.g. authorising a locking
medium with the Program-Master.
6.3.3 Which master media are available?
A System-Master is supplied with every OMEGA FLEX system. You can obtain all additional master media
from your CEStronics partner.
There are three types of master media:
1. Cross-functional master media
2. Master media for settings
3. Master media for RF-Stick and online administration

Administration with master media takes place offline, i.e. no wireless
connection is needed. You use master media to authorise locking media and can
also implement further settings.
All of the administration tasks that you can perform with master media can be
