6.5 Administration via wireless online network

6.5.1 About wireless online networks
A wireless online network establishes a permanent connection between locking devices and the OMEGA
Server. A wireless online network is created via Access-Points for which the transmission range can be
boosted using external antennas .

6.5.2 Principle of administration via wireless online network
Administration via wireless online network is implemented via a permanent online
connection. The administration is implemented centrally by the OMEGA Client, i.e. the
programming jobs are transmitted automatically via the wireless online network to
online locking devices.

The basic procedure for administration via the wireless online network:
1. You set up a wireless online network via Access-Points. You can find detailed instructions in the
Access Point manual.
2. Import all of the required OMEGA FLEX components into the OMEGA Client. Detailed instructions
can be found in the CEStronics Suite Help.
3. Specify the locking authorisations, time profiles, etc. in the OMEGA Client. Detailed instructions can
be found in the CEStronics Suite Help.
4. The programming jobs are automatically transmitted to the online locking devices via the wireless
online network.
