Performing a zero point adjustment (with FF configuration programme
1.
Operate the system until normal operating conditions resume.
2.
Stop the flow (v = 0 m/s).
3.
Check the shut-off valves for leaks.
4.
Check that operating pressure is correct.
5.
Open the configuration programme and then the Resource Block.
6.
Use the WRITE_LOCK parameter to check whether hardware write protection is
switched off:
– Write protection enabled = LOCKED
– Write protection disabled = NOT LOCKED
Disable the write protection, if necessary → Page 53.
7.
Open the Transducer Block:
– For zero point adjustment for channel 1: TRANSDUCER_CH1 (base index 1200)
– For zero point adjustment for channel 2: TRANSDUCER_CH2 (base index 1300)
8.
Enable the programming level:
– Enter the release code in the "Un-/Locking - Access Code" parameter
(factory setting = 93).
– The "Un-/Locking - Access Status" parameter should now display
"Unlocked Customer".
9.
Start zero point adjustment:
– Select "Start" in the "Adjustment - Adjust Zeropoint" parameter.
– Start the adjustment by sending this setting to the field device.
!
Note!
If the fluid velocity exceeds 0.1 m/s, the following error message appears in the
"Diagnosis - Actual System Condition" parameter in the Transducer Block
"TRANSDUCER_DIAG" (base index 1600):
– For channel 1: "Zeropoint adjustment CH1 is not possible - Err. No. 743"
– For channel 2: "Zeropoint adjustment CH2 is not possible - Err. No. 744".
This error is relayed to downstream function blocks or higher-level process control
systems via the FOUNDATION Fieldbus by means of the status "UNCERTAIN" for
the output value OUT (AI Block).
An exact description of the error messages is provided on Page 98.
10. Close the configuration programme.
Starting zero point adjustment via the Discrete Output function block
Zero point adjustment for channel 1 or channel 2 can also be started via the Discrete
Output function block.
More detailed information on this topic can be found in the "Description of Device
functions" manual under "Operating Prosonic Flow 93 FF via the FOUNDATION
Fieldbus", in Section 5 "Discrete Output function block".
