Identify the field device using the DEVICE_ID that you noted down and assign the
desired tag name (PD_TAG) to the fieldbus device in question.

Open the Resource Block.

On delivery, write protection is disabled so that you can access the write
parameters via the FOUNDATION Fieldbus.
Check this status via the WRITE_LOCK parameter:
– Write protection enabled = LOCKED
– Write protection disabled = NOT LOCKED
Disable the write protection, if necessary → Page 53.

Enter the desired block name (optional).
Factory setting: RESOURCE_ xxxxxxxxxxx

Set the operating mode in the MODE_BLK parameter group (TARGET parameter )
to AUTO.
