Determining the values for "Clamp On" installation using the FOUNDATION
Fieldbus configuration programme
The values required for the Clamp On installation can also be determined using a
FOUNDATION Fieldbus configuration programme.
Note!
The following conditions must be met before determining the values:
• Transmitter installed, (see Page 33)
• Transmitter connected to power supply, (Page 41)
• FOUNDATION Fieldbus interface has been commissioned, (see Page 63)
First select the Transducer Block (depends on the channel used):
• Channel 1 = TRANSDUCER_CH1 (base index 1200)
• Channel 2 = TRANSDUCER_CH2 (base index 1300)
Then enable programming in the "Un-/Locking - Access Code" parameter.
Select "CLAMP ON" in the "Sensor Param. - Measurement" parameter.
Select the number of traverses in the "Sensor Param. - Sensor Configuration" parameter.
Depending on the number of traverses selected in this parameter you receive the value
required for your installation:
• The sensor distance (sensor distance) and wire length in the case of 1 or 3 traverses
• The sensor distance (position sensor) in the case of 2 or 4 traverses
Now call up the remaining parameters shown in the diagram below and enter the values
which apply to your application, (more detailed information on the individual
parameters is provided in the "Description of Device Functions" manual).
Once you have entered/selected all the values, the "Sensor Param. - Sensor Distance"
parameter resp. the "Sensor Param. - Position Sensor" displays the sensor distance and
the "Sensor Param. - Wire Length" parameter displays the wire length.
