OPERATION

Speed-Up Kit - Optional

Seed rates can be doubled by using a 26-Tooth Sprocket
and following the procedure below:
1. Loosen and remove #550 and #40 Drive Chains.
2. Remove 1/4 x 2 1/4 Capscrew, Lock Washer, and
Nut from #55 (large) Sprocket Hub on Front
Transmission Shaft.
3. Remove Roll Pin from #40 (small) Sprocket Hubs on
the Front Transmission Shaft.
DRIVE CHAIN SET FOR
26-TOOTH SEED RATE
(DOUBLE THE RATE SHOWN ON CHART)

4. Remove the Locking Collar from left side of the Front
Transmission Shaft.
5. Remove Bearing Bolts from right side of the Front
Transmission Shaft.
6. Move the shaft far enough to the right to remove the
13 Tooth Sprocket.
7. Install the new 26 Tooth Sprocket.
8. Replace all items (except #40 chain) in reverse
order.
9. Add extra links to #40 chain.
10. Adjust chain tension. See Figure 4-5.
