The compact gas preparation unit and the SO

efficient and correct measurement of the SO
The system consists of an adapted unit with gas hose, compact gas
preparation unit and non-heated standard flue gas probe or the high-
standard industrial flue gas probe.

The miniaturised gas preparation unit is integrated into the end of the
hose. It cools the sample gas using the Peltier cooler very quickly thus
dehumidifying the sample gas. This means that the SO
absorbed by the water (reduction of absorption to a minimum). The
condensate builds up in the housing and is emptied by removing one of
the end pieces. The dry sample gas is filtered through a fine filter which
also serves as a water barrier (automatic emptying).

The use of a compact gas preparation unit with automatic condensate
emptying (peristaltic hose pump) is required for long-term
measurements lasting several hours if the measurement cannot be
interrupted for the purpose of emptying the condensate.
