Operating with rechargeable battery
The built-in rechargeable battery should be completely recharged (see rechargeable battery display
during calibration phase) before the first measurement and following breaks in operation lasting
several days. If operation is stopped for longer periods of time, the rechargeable battery should be
recharged at least every 4 weeks in order to avoid total discharge.
Operation via plug-in mains unit
Only the original mains unit should be used when operating the analyser. Damaged mains
cables should only be replaced by original mains cables available from the manufacturer
or distributor (i. e. from an authorised service point).
Flue gas probes
Only flue gas probes with an integrated condensate trap or the testo compact gas drier can be connected to
testo 300-I. If a probe without an integrated filter and condensate unit is connected, the analyser will break
down.
Tightness
The complete measuring system (probe, condensate trap, hoses and connections) should be checked for
tightness before every measurement, e.g. by attaching a pressed in rubber bladder. Inleaked air can result in
false measurements.
Gas outlet
When measuring ensure that the gas outlets of the analyser are uncovered so that the gas can escape. If this
is not the case the results measured could be false.
Condensate trap
The condensate trap should only be emptied with the pump switched off (otherwise this could be dangerous
for the measuring cells)!
Measuring cells
Small amounts of concentrated acids are found in the measuring cells (except in the O 2 sensor
solution) and should be disposed of responsibly.
Analyser
If the analysers are kept in rooms where solvents are stored this may destroy the measuring cells.
