Operation is only via mains unit (Part no. 0554.0143). The testo 300-I
can also be operated via the connection cable (Part no. 0449.0034)
without an additional mains unit. The rechargeable battery in the
instrument can be recharged via this mains unit even when the gas
preparation unit is switched off.
Connect the plug and gas screw connection to the analyser. Ensure that
all screw connections and the probe are screwed in properly so that the
gas path is leak-proof. Switch on the instrument and wait unitl the green
LED lights up indicating it is ready to operate. It is not possible to
measure until this point.

Information on applications and warnings

- Thanks to the water block integrated in the PE filter, the analyser is
protected from flooding If flooding does occur, change the PE filter
with the water block
- Do not cover the ventilator mounted on the cooler with cloths or
similar. Risk of overheating!
- Avoid dropping the compact gas preparation unit on hard surfaces.
This could damage the housing.
- When carrying out mounting work on the gas preparation unit ensure
that the sealing rings are not damaged and that the trap lids do not
get mixed up by mistake.
- When the hose pump is used, the compact gas preparation unit must
be in the right position (pump at the bottom).
- Avoid heating up of the compact gas preparation unit via radiation
heat.
- Avoid letting the probe handle hang down since condensate can get
into the gas path when the instrument is switched off.
- The design of the compact gas preparation unit determines the
direction of flow (observe the arrow at the bottom of the gas
preparation unit). If the gas flows in the opposite direction, the system
will not function properly.
- The compact gas preparation unit can only be operated with probe
which have a coarse filter. Otherwise there is a risk that the SO
be incorrectly measured.
