Changing the test oil filter

The test oil filter contains oil-based substances and
substances which are a hazard to water. It must
be disposed of in accordance with the applicable
regulations.
Procedure:
1. Drain the test oil (see sec. 8.2.6, steps 1 to 7).
2. Remove the test oil filter (fig. 37, item 2).

When removing the test oil filter, residual oil can
collect. Wipe off any remaining oil before inserting
the new filter.
3. Make sure that the O-ring of the new test oil filter is
not damaged.
4. Attach the new test oil filter.
5. Pour in test oil (see sec. 8.2.6, step 8).
6. Bleed the system (see sec. 8.2.8).

Bleeding the system

After changing the test oil, the system must be bled.
Procedure:
1. Connect degassing adapter 1 683 457 129 (fig. 38,
item 3) to connection adapter 1 681 032 120
(fig. 38, item 2).
Tightening torque 25 — 30 Nm
2. Connect the hose assembly 1 684 462 570 (fig. 38,
item 5) with the CRIN hose fitting (fig. 38, item 4)
to the degassing adapter 1 683 457 129 (fig. 38,
item 3).
3. Connect the hose assembly 1 684 462 570 (fig. 38,
item 5) to the test connection for return quantity
(fig. 38, item 6).
4. Connect the high-pressure hose assembly (fig. 38,
item 1) to the connection adapter 1 681 032 120
(fig. 38, item 2).
5. Connect the high pressure hose assembly to the
high-pressure connection (fig. 3, item 2).
6. Close the protective cover.
7. In the start screen, select "Options >> Settings
>> EPS 118 >> Bleed the system" and follow the
instructions.
