Alarms to be indicated on the side display are categorized into 2 types: System
alarms and Process alarms. In addition, when any one of these 2 types of
alarms is generated, an alarm icon is automatically displayed on the display.
In addition to the two types of alarms above, there are error messages
displayed in case of a key operation error or setting error. In this case, no
abbreviation is displayed.
6.4.1

System alarm

System alarm is the function to display an alarm on the side display when an
error related to the system such as a battery error or memory error occurs.
Alarms include major and minor failures. The alarm display blinks in case of a
major failure.
Remark
• For system alarm abbreviations and details of error messages, refer to "Appendix Table H-1
Types of system alarms".
• For errors other than WDT, detailed information can be displayed by reading the system log
with the nv Engineering Tool. For the system log, refer to "Appendix D System Log".
