Note
• The network between the LC53* and EN311 is for inter-controller transmission only and not
intended for other forms of communication (socket communication, computer link and PC
link).
• Use one of the S3 controller sockets (this means one less socket for socket communication).
• Configuration and startup of the EN311 are performed through MREAD command and
USEND_T command, which are the same as before.
• When the S3 controller is duplicated, you must start from configuration of the IP address
during switch over (promotion).
• To start inter-controller transmission, specify the size of an inter-controller transmission
variable for N (size) of the USEND_T command (command=16#0320). (An incorrect size
results in error (STATUS=-5001)).
• When the S3 controller is duplicated, user tracking is required for the inter-controller
transmission variable. Make sure to specify user tracking.
• Turn ON the engineering switch (No.4) of the LC53*. The S3 (EN311) cannot receive data
when the switch is OFF.
• Only one S3 controller can be connected on the LC53* Ethernet network (the lowest digit of
the IP address is fixed to 32).
