• Saving memory program data to the flash memory
Save the user memory data and user program data to the flash memory. Use
then nv Engineering Tool to save them.
• Shutdown of LC53* operation
Before stopping the operation of the LC53* (plant), save the memory
program content. Also check the operation state of the plant before
stopping the operation of the LC53* (plant).
• Cleaning LC53* modules
To clean a module, remove it from the case of main unit, blow the module
with air, for example, to remove dust from the module. After cleaning,

that they are not loose. Retighten the screws, if loose.
• Checking cables
Check the individual cables that they are free of damage. Replace damaged
cables if any.
• Measuring input voltage
Measure the voltage of DC power supply input terminal for LC53* and check
that the voltage is within the voltage range shown below. If the voltage is
out of the range specified, check external power line.
DC24V+10%/-15% (DC20.4 to 26.4V)
• Battery voltage
When the battery voltage drops below 2.8 V, the system finds it as a battery
voltage drop, and the "HALT" on front display panel of LC53* blinks.
• Checking battery module replacement date
Check the replacement date of the lithium battery in the battery module
EBAT1, and replace it periodically (about every 2 years).
• Confirming installation environment
Check that the installation environment is appropriate in terms of
temperature, humidity, vibration and dust.
• Checking the process input/output function
It is recommended that you check the accuracy and the operation of
