Determining the Sample Mass
1. Weigh the sample tube set containing the sample; record the value as Sample tube set plus
sample mass (After Degas).
2. Determine the sample mass as follows:
Enter the Sample tube set plus sample mass (After Degas)
(Step 1 above)
Subtract Mass for empty sample tube set
(Step 3 of the previous procedure)
Sample Mass
This is the mass you will enter when you create a sample information file for the reference
material analysis.
