Chapter 7: Assembly/Disassembly

Precautions for Disassembly

Before disassembling any part of the printer, be sure the power is turned off. The Controller Board and the
Interface Board can be damaged by static electricity. Observe ESD precautions. Wear a grounded wrist
strap, and use a static mat or other protected work surface.

Necessary Tools

The M850 printer is designed to be disassembled into its major sub-assemblies without the need for any
tools.
Use a #2 Phillips Screwdriver to disassemble the Interface PCB.
