Preparation of the USB-stick

For installation of the PRISMAsync software you need a pre-programmed USB-stick. This chapter
describes how to prepare the stick.
Before you begin
• a 16 GB USB-stick (available via the normal service channel)
• an image of the PRISMAsync software (available via ftp-site or your service channel)
• the USB creation tool called CreateUSB (available via ftp-site or your service channel or inside
the PRISMAsync iso-file).
• a laptop or pc with Windows Vista or Windows 7
Procedure
1. Check if .NET 4.5 is installed on the laptop.
If .NET 4.5 not installed please download and install the .NET 4.5 framework.
2. Insert USB key and start CreateUSB Tool.
1. Fill out the fields in the tool. Once the iso-file is selected the tool will check if a newer version
is available (in the image-file). If there is a new version available it will install this version and
overwrites the old one.
The following dialogue will appear:
3. Restart the Create USB Tool.
Restart the tool and make the settings as described below.
1. Installation media: Browse to the location where the media .iso-image is located.
2. Product: Select the applicable product
3. USB drive to use: Select the USB drive for writing the software to.
4. Legacy file system: Some antivirus software intervenes with the CreateUSB tool. To make
sure the USB-stick is created correctly enable the legacy file system.
