Power

Power requirements are detailed in the 'Electrical Power Supplies' section of the
Agilent AA Site Preparation Guide. Ensure you comply with these electrical
requirements before connecting the Agilent 55B AA system.
Before connecting the instrument to the power supply, ensure:
Plug the mains power cord into the back of the instrument and the free end of the
power cord into the mains power supply.

Gas hoses

Three rubber hoses are permanently attached to the instrument. Each hose is two
meters long and is color-coded for air (black), nitrous oxide (blue) and acetylene
(red). Each hose is fitted with female fittings suitable for USA standard regulators.
NOTE

Printer

If you are using a printer, it should be connected to the instrument via a RS-232
cable in the RS-232C 9-pin port at the upper left corner of the rear of the
instrument - see Figure 4, page 38. If your printer is not a serial printer, you must
use a serial to parallel converter.

Accessories

Accessories, such as SIPS or computer and monitor, might require separate
connection instructions. Refer to the relevant the manual for details.
Do not position the equipment so that it is difficult to operate the disconnecting
device.

the voltage selector switch on the instrument rear panel is set to the correct
mains power supply voltage.

The voltage selector is set by the engineer when the instrument is first
installed.
