TROUBLESHOOTING:

The tape is not cut,

Knife blade is damaged or needs to be
cleaned.
Tape tension needs to be increased.

Adhesive build‐up on blade.
Cartridge threaded incorrectly.

Rear tab length too long.
Main spring tension to weak.
Booster spring not engaged.
Tab adjuster not set properly.
Knife spring worn.
Not enough tape tension.
Tape tension arm either misaligned or
bent.

Corrective Action
Replace knife blade.
Increase drag on knurled tension
roller.
Adjust tape core height.
Replace spring.
Clean blade ‐ Oil the felt pad on knife
guard
Follow threading arrows on cartridge.
Increase drag on knurled tension
roller.
Adjust tape core height.
Adjust rear tab adjuster.
Adjust main spring tension.
Adjust booster spring compression.
Adjust rear tab adjuster.
Replace knife spring.
Increase drag on knurled tension
roller.
Straighten arm so it is parallel with
the mill stand. Then re‐adjust tape
core height.
Increase main spring tension.
Adjust stop to allow wipe rollers to
contact box major flaps.
Adjust stop so the wipe rollers aren't
allowed to retract too far into
cartridge body.
