3.9.4 Gas Sensor - Zero Calibration

WARNING !! Risk of failure of ventilator and/or injury to the patient.
Gas sensor - Zero Reference Calibration : this procedure, to be used
to perform the zeroing of gas analyzer, is ENABLED only when:
gas sensor is connected to the RS-232 connector placed on side of
the ventilator (please refer to the GAZ ANALYZER manual).
the function IRMA/ISA could be activated in the CALIBRATION
PROGRAM (please, refer to chapter 4.13).
Sidestream ISA sensor: the zeroing of gas analyzer measurement
is activated in automatic mode.
Mainstream IRMA sensor: after around one minute from the gas
analyzer is turned on, it is necessary to perform the manual
procedure of zero calibration.
It is possible to perform the zero calibration of the gas analyzer also
by the parameters: MENU - SETUP - GAS SENSOR.
Turn the encoder knob to select
the parameter to be calibrated:
the activated message is
highlighted.
Press the knob; the system will
activate the Gas Sensor: Zero
Reference Calibration.
NOTE. This procedure should be
performed only with IRMA gas
analyzer.
