If you know that you are going to printing just CMYK prints for more than a week you can flush the white
carriage.
If you run out of a particular ink cartridge, you should flush the carriage with cleaning fluid.
You will need:
One each of the CMYK cleaning cartridges for the color carriage
QTY 2 W1 cleaning cartridges and QTY 2 W2 cleaning cartridges for the white carriage
Once cleaning is pressed then it will take approximately 43 minutes to purge the ink from the system
and replace it with cleaning fluid.
You can now power down the printer by pushing the power button next to the touch screen. Then select
the shutdown button on the two subsequent warning messages. When the power button stops blinking
and the screen powers off you can then flip the switch in the back of the printer and unplug the printer.
The printer is now ready to be stored.
If you are moving the printer where you will have to maneuver the printer through a door where you
can not keep the printer in it's standard printing orientation but must tilt in some way. You will need to
Drain the ink sumps.
