Chapter 1
Please explain how to display the log of Fixing Belt Displacement Control Steering setting values.
Field Remedy
Select and implement from Service Mode (Level 2) > COPIER > Display > FIXING > FX-U-STR.
[Reference]
Steering setting values of Fixing Belt Displacement Correction Control (4 values which are the present values (upward, downward) and the retention values at oc-
currence of an error (upward, downward)) are displayed.
When E007-0011/0012/9901 occurs, the retention value is overwritten with the present value.
By opening/closing the cover or turning OFF/ON the main power switch, the present value is cleared but the retention value is not cleared.

1.1.7.1.55 How to display Fixing Belt/Pressure Belt displacement status

[ Manual-related ]
Description
Please explain how to display Fixing Belt/Pressure Belt displacement status.
Field Remedy
Select and implement from Service Mode > COPIER > Display > ANALOG > FX-U-POS (Fixing Belt) or FX-L-POS (Pressure Belt).
- 0: ON (Transmit light)
- 1: OFF (Block light)
[Reference]
- The Fixing Belt displacement state is displayed in real-time.
- This shows the ON/OFF status of the Fixing Belt Position Sensor1 and 2 and the Fixing Belt HP Sensor.

1.1.7.1.56 How to adjust pressure for Fixing Nip

[ Manual-related ]
Description
Please explain how to adjust the pressure for Fixing Nip.
Field Remedy
Select and implement Service Mode (Level 2) > COPIER > Option > IMG-FIX.
As the value is larger, pressure is increased.
- NIP-DWN1 (Pressure adjustment of Fixing Nip 1)
When feeding non-coated paper (52 to 150 g/m2), coated paper (106 to 220 g/m2), textured paper (80 to 180 g/m2), transparency and label
- NIP-DWN2 (Pressure adjustment of Fixing Nip 2)
When feeding large size of non-coated paper (151 to 300 g/m2), coated paper (221 to 300 g/m2) and textured paper (181 to 300 g/m2)
- NIP-DWN3 (Pressure adjustment of Fixing Nip 3)
When feeding postcard, envelope, small size of non-coated paper (151 to 300 g/m2), coated paper (221 to 300 g/m2) and textured paper (181 to 300 g/m2)
[Caution] Fixing at the paper edge might be deteriorated.

1.1.7.1.57 Points to note on replacing Drum Unit

[ Manual-related ]
Description
Please explain the actions to take on replacing the Drum Unit.
Field Remedy
a) Before replacing Drum Unit
a-1) Disable (Turn OFF) the warm-up rotation.
Service Mode > COPIER > Function > INSTALL > AINR-OFF (ON/OFF of warm-up rotation deactivation) > "1"
a-2) Turn OFF the main power switch and then replace the Drum Unit.
[Reference]
When replacing the Drum (Bk), it is recommended to replace the Drum Cleaning Blade with a new one.
When reusing the Drum Cleaning Blade, to clean the edge of the Drum Cleaning Blade and apply lubricant (Tospearl) to the edge.
Installing the Drum Cleaning Blade without cleaning the edge or applying lubricant (Tospearl) will cause a cleaning error.
b) After replacing Drum Unit
b-1) Turn ON the main power switch.
b-2) Execute the ITB neutral position adjustment.
Service Mode > COPIER > Function > INSTALL > INIT-ITB (Creation of ITB edge profile)
b-3) Forcibly execute the drum replacement mode.
b-3-1) Select Service Mode > COPIER > Function > INSTALL > CLR-SET (Spec color for Developing Ass'y-related process), and set the target color to "1".
b-3-2) Select Service Mode > COPIER > Function > INSTALL > DRMRESET (Forcible exection of any drums replace).
b-4) Enable (Turn ON) the warm-up rotation.
Service Mode > COPIER > Function > INSTALL > AINR-OFF (ON/OFF of warm-up rotation deactivation) > "0"
b-5) Execute the Auto Adjust Gradation.
Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Adjust Gradation > Full Adjust
b-6) Execute the color displacement correction.
Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Correct Color Mismatch
b-7) Execute the uneven density correction.
Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Correct Shading

1.1.7.1.58 How to adjust down sequence temperature threshold value

[ Manual-related ]
Description
Please explain how to adjust the down sequence temperature threshold value.
[Reference]
This is a control that lowers the productivity to prevent the fixing error and image failure if the difference between the target temperature and detected temperature
during printing becomes too large.
There are following 3 down sequences.
- Level 1
If the temperature becomes lower than the down sequence criterion temperature, start of the job is delayed for 3 seconds. This control is executed only once during
