Daily checks and servicing before operation

Battery change

When changing the battery, at least 6 minutes must elapse
between the disconnection and connection of the batteries.
Otherwise the battery discharge indicator will display a false
reading and reduce the speed of the working hydraulic system.
ATTENTION
The replacement battery must correspond to the
standard battery both in size and weight.
Deviations in weight must be compensated by additional
weights. The battery must be secured against sliding.
Please consult your authorised distributor.

Fully lower the fork carriage.

Apply the handbrake.

Depress the emergency isolator button.

Open the overhead guard (1) to the second position.

Battery removal with a crane

Use a crane and a lifting gear with a sufficient load capacity
(see technical data for battery weight).

Disconnect the battery female connector (2) from the
battery male connector.

Pull out the locking pin (3), hold it and swivel the hand-
brake and console assembly (4) upwards.
-
Release the locking pin.
-
Position the crane with the lifting sling over the battery.
-
Attach the lifting gear to the battery.
-
Lift the battery up and out of the chassis and remove to the
side.
