Inter-Module Synchronization Function
Synchronization
The operations of multiple D/A converter modules and the timing of D/A conversion of all channels can be synchronized.
An D/A converter module uses the inter-module synchronization signal as a trigger to simultaneously execute the D/A
conversion of all channels.
Setting method
■Setting the system parameter
To use the inter-module synchronization function, configure the setting of the inter-module synchronization function in
"System Parameter" to set the D/A converter module as the target module of the inter-module synchronization.
The setting method is shown below.
[Navigation window] [Parameter] [System Parameter] [Inter-module Synchronization Setting]
"I/O Assignment Setting" window
"Inter-module Synchronization Setting" window
"Select the Synchronous Target Module" window
"Inter-module Synchronization Setting" window
1.
Set the I/O assignment appropriate to the
system in use.
2.
Select "Use" for "Use Inter-module
Synchronization Function in System".
3.
Double-click "Detailed Setting" of "Select Inter-
module Synchronization Target Module".
4.
Set "Synchronize" for the D/A converter
module.
5.
Set the inter-module synchronization cycle in
"Fixed Scan Interval Setting of Inter-module
Synchronization".
6.
Write the system parameter into the CPU
module and change the status of the CPU
module from RESET to RUN. When the inter-
module synchronization function is enabled,
whether the synchronization is in process or
the synchronization is stopped can be
monitored with 'Synchronization status monitor'
(Un\G9600).
